Among the results already achieved, some of the most significant are the development of advanced manufacturing technologies for the generation of optical functional surfaces with micrometric resolution and their accurate replication by Injection moulding.
A quality control system has been designed and assembled, based on Optical Coherence Tomography and an automated alignment system to correct positioning errors within the micrometric range is already functional.
In addition, a fully functional manufacturing has started its assembly and will serve to demonstrate the capabilities of the technologies developed within the project’s scope.
